Masculine 30th Birthday

I am back today to share a 30th birthday card I made for my brother-in-law.

The "happy" I die cut and stuck onto the white card, whereas the "birthday" I sunk into the white card, just to add different textures.  The 30 I coated in Glossy Accents to make it a little more interesting.

Mother's Day #2

This is the second Mother's Day card I made.  Partly due to my limited stamping supplies, but also because I was pleased with the first card I made I used the same set and colour combinations.

As you can see in the close up, I die cut the "happy" from the main card base and inlaid the pink die cut...this is a technique I have seen used a lot around blogland and I wanted to give it a go.  The flower I free cut as I haven't bought the dies, but as I'm using the "You Are" set a lot I think I might have to invest!

Mother's Day #1

This is one of the card's I made for Mother's day, which in the UK was a couple of weeks ago.

I was keen to use the "window" style card base as I was given these for Christmas.  I had no idea where this card was going when I started but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

Masculine Valentine

Sorry for being absent for so long...life has gone manic recently but I have managed to find a little time in between for crafting but not blogging.

Today I am sharing the card I made my husband for Valentine's day.  As with many people I really struggle to make cards for men.  I used an earthy colour pallet for this card which helped stop it being too feminine.

Supplies:

Heart - free cut from core'dinations "darks" cardstock
EF - Swiss dots by Cuttlebug
Embellishments - from my stash
Sentiment - Personal Impressions - Everyday Words Happy Birthday
Ink - Memento - Pistachio
Die - Circle - Spellbinders Nestabilities
